This Privacy Policy explains what information Jude (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Jude mobile app and this website. By using Judeyou agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the app:
- Account details. Your email address and basic profile, created when you sign in with Apple, Google, or email.
- Health and nutrition data you enter. The food you log, your calorie and macro targets, weight entries, goals, and related preferences. You choose what to record.
- Photos and voice input. When you use photo analysis or voice logging, the image or audio is processed to identify food and is not used for advertising.
- Usage and diagnostics. Basic analytics about how the app is used and crash or error information, so we can fix problems and improve features.
- Subscription status. Whether you hold an active Jude Pro subscription. Payments are handled by Apple or Google, and we never receive your full card details.
How we use your information
- To provide the core features: logging, tracking, and insights.
- To analyze food from your photos, barcodes, and voice input.
- To sync your data across your devices and restore it on reinstall.
- To manage subscriptions and entitlements.
- To diagnose issues, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
Service providers we share data with
We use a small set of trusted providers to operate Jude. They process data only to perform services for us:
- Supabase for authentication, database, and storage.
- RevenueCat for subscription management.
- OpenAI to power photo analysis, voice transcription, and Ask Jude. Content sent for analysis is used to return a result, not to train models on your personal data.
- PostHog for product analytics and diagnostics.
- USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts for food and nutrition data lookups.
- Apple and Google for sign-in and for processing subscription payments.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your health and nutrition data with advertisers.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app, under Profile. Deleting your account permanently removes your meals, diary entries, weight history, and profile from our systems, subject to limited legal or backup retention.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information and limit access to it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can exercise most of these directly in the app, or contact us using the details below.
Children
Jude is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
